Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Protective Patrol in Melville, NY. You will monitor multiple areas, perform regular patrols, and provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors in a manufacturing and industrial setting.

You will deter incidents with a visible presence, respond to alarms, and document incidents. A high school diploma is required, and licensure or background checks may be required by law.

Qualifications

• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, shipping and receiving locations, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Assist with maintaining orderly operations by reporting hazards, equipment concerns, and policy violations to site contacts.
