Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager in the Reston area to oversee up to 20 associates in the Produce Department and possibly supervise the Floral Department. You will direct daily operations, plan staffing, train new hires, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

You will lead performance discussions, address customer concerns, and collaborate with the Produce Manager to achieve store goals. This role emphasizes leadership, customer service, and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Manage and supervise up to 20 associates in the Produce Department. May also be assigned responsibility for the Floral Department. Is responsible the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these departments. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Harris Teeter’s policies and applicable laws.

Compensation

• Pay Transparency: Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $19.00/hour and $29.75/hour for this role as a newly hired associate. Pay may depend on previous experience and skill sets of the applicant.

• You will be eligible for Harris Teeter’s group benefit plans that pertain to your position upon the completion of applicable waiting periods. Your eligibility for these benefits is subject to the terms of the applicable plan and Harris Teeter policy.
