Job summary

Bezos Academy in the United States is hiring a Food Service Assistant to manage kitchen operations and provide nutritious, compliant meals for children. You will handle menus, orders, deliveries, inventory, and documentation with strong attention to safety.

Beyond the kitchen, you will assist staff with inventory checks, laundry, and occasional classroom supervision. This full-time role includes extensive benefits within a Montessori-inspired preschool environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass background checks and trainings for Kentucky childcare regulations.
• Experience in school or Montessori-influenced settings preferred.
• Knowledge of CACFP and USDA meal guidelines helpful.

Responsibilities

• Plan CACFP-compliant menus and manage weekly food orders.
• Receive deliveries, verify quantities, and monitor food costs.
• Prepare and serve meals while maintaining hygiene and safety.
• Maintain kitchen organization, inventory, and documentation.
• Assist with classroom supervision and ad-hoc duties as needed.
• Ensure allergy-aware and special-diet accommodations.
