Job summary

Rockwood R-6 School District’s Marquette High School Preschool is seeking a Full-Time Preschool Teacher Assistant for the preschool classroom. The role supports a safe, caring environment and helps build foundations for elementary learning.

Hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, totaling 40 hours weekly for 12 months. A Missouri Teacher or Substitute Teacher Certification is required, with a starting salary of $17.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• 60 college credit hours preferred.
• Experience working with children in similar setting preferred.
• Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing a program that maintains the preschool philosophy and curriculum.
• Relate, communicate, and interact with children with patience and compassion.
• Interact effectively with staff and families in the program.
• Maintain ethical behavior and confidentiality about students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Supervise the afternoon staff and classroom during teacher’s absence.
