Job description

Salary: £12.21 per hour - Full-time position only

Hours per week: Must be fully flexible 5 days out of 7, including working both weekend days

Shifts will vary between 7:30 am - 3:30 pm, 10 am - 6 pm, and 3 pm - 11 pm, with 8-hour shifts including a 30-minute unpaid break

As a Porter, you will assist guests with luggage on arrival and departure, perform departmental tasks, and ensure a friendly and efficient service for all guests.

What will I be doing?

As a Porter at the Carlyon Bay Hotel, your responsibilities include helping with guest luggage, serving bar and lounge food and drinks, and performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

1. Greet guests, carry luggage, and show guests to their rooms.
2. Put pool cover on in evenings and store outside cushions from terrace and pool areas.
3. Complete departmental tasks such as cleaning brass, light gardening, checking light bulbs, delivering newspapers, and cleaning all front-of-house areas.
4. Maintain a neat and tidy appearance, adhere to uniform standards, and uphold professional behaviour at all times.
5. Understand and comply with company policies on HASAWA, fire precautions, legal requirements, and perform any other tasks as required.
6. Assist other departments as needed and foster good working relationships.
