City of Maypearl is seeking a Patrol Officer to deliver responsive police services, including routine patrols, interventions, investigations and traffic regulation duties. You will work under general supervision to protect life and property and ensure compliance with laws and ordinances.

Applicants must be 21+, US citizens, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess a TCOLE Officer Certification. A Texas Class C license, honorable military discharge, and clean background are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• TCOLE Officer Certification required.
• Texas Class C (or higher) driver's license with clean driving record.
• Honorable military discharge required.
• Clean background and driving record; no offenses above Class C misdemeanor.
• Pass physical, psychological eval and drug screen.
• One year full-time patrol experience.
• Must be able to work weekends/holidays shifts.

Under general supervision, provides responsive and courteous police services in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances, generally consisting of routine patrol, interventions, assistance, investigations and traffic regulation duties.

A Patrol Officer applicant must meet the following minimum requirements;

• Be 21 years of age.
• Be a citizen of the United States.
• Have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Possess a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Officer Certification.
• Have and maintain a clear and valid Texas Class C or higher driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Must have received an honorable discharge from Military Service.
• Must have satisfactory results of a background and employment screening check consisting of no convictions of a criminal offense above a Class C misdemeanor.
• Applicants must pass a physical exam, psychological evaluation, and drug screening.
• Applicants must have one year full time patrol experience with a municipal or county agency.
• Must be able to work shift work consisting of weekends and holidays
