The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Full Time Phlebotomist for the UTower Hospital. The Phlebotomist will draw blood, verify records, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis while addressing age-specific needs.

Applicants should have a High School diploma, certification in a relevant field, and at least 1 year of experience. Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and flexible work hours are required.

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in relevant specialty or field.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: Attention to detail, ability to analyze and prioritize work under pressure, confidentiality, ability to work evenings/nights/weekends.

Mansioni

• Performs phlebotomy following prescribed technique.
• Verifies patient identity and collects specimens.
• Labels specimens accurately with patient details, date and time.
• Transports specimens to the lab promptly and maintains safety protocols.
• Enters collection data into hospital systems or LIS.
• Maintains inventory and assists with quality control checks.
