Job summary

St. Louis JCC is seeking a full-time Personal Trainer who can develop and oversee goal-oriented fitness programs, promote training services, and conduct evaluations for members. The role requires a current nationally recognized certification and the ability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Must hold a current, nationally recognized Personal Training certification and/or a related degree.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of personal training techniques and physical fitness.
  • Six months preferred experience in related field.
  • Must be able to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
  • Strong communication and sales skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse clientele.
  • Flexible schedule to meet patrons’ needs, including all time slots.
  • Must perform physical requirements including lifting 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer goal-oriented fitness programs approved by certification bodies.
  • Promote personal training and fitness programs to members.
  • Perform fitness evaluations and schedule/train clients.
  • Call clients to schedule and confirm appointments; build client book.
  • Plan and execute quarterly workshops/events to market services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
