Job summary

Prodigy Rehabilitation Group, Inc. in Berkeley seeks Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) to support our in-house program with flexible full-time, part-time or PRN roles.

You will assist therapists, provide direct patient care (ADLs and mobility), document progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to improve geriatric outcomes. Privately owned SNF with supportive admins and energetic rehab teams.

Qualifications

• Active California license (COTA) required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ongoing professional development encouraged.
• Geriatric and post-acute population experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists in implementing treatment plans.
• Provide direct patient care including exercises and ADLs.
• Monitor and document patient progress with accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADLs), and mobility training.
• Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring accurate records are maintained in accordance with medical standards.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and safety measures.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes, including participation in interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients during therapy sessions.
• Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy, medical terminology, and relevant regulations.
