Job summary

Advanced Medical Transport of Eastern Illinois (AMT East) is seeking experienced paramedics to care for patients in emergency response situations, during interfacility transports, and standby events in Central and Western Illinois, including Danville.

This role requires working 12- or 24-hour shifts in the Danville area, with part-time staff expected to contribute at least 24 hours per month; maintain licenses, provide professional care, and uphold patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

Advanced Medical Transport of Eastern Illinois (AMT East) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT East is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit.

Our Paramedic team members are responsible for caring for patients in emergency response situations, during interfacility transports, and during standby events. Paramedics at AMT work 12 or 24 hour shifts in the Danville and the surrounding areas. Part-time staff is expected to work at least 24 hours each month to remain in good standing.

Job Duties

• Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care
• Provide advanced life support when needed
• Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment
• Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
• Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment in accordance with company vehicle check-off sheets and inventory requirements
• Operate and drive an ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws
• Maintain current certification(s) according to provisions set forth by the governing licensure
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
• Present and promote a positive company image
