Work Environment

This PTA position is full-time, operating on-site within a hospital setting in Nutley, New Jersey. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of therapy programs designed by the supervising Physical Therapist to aid patients in achieving improved mobility and functionality.
• Deliver hands-on therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising PT, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
• Utilize our electronic medical record (EMR) system to accurately document patient treatments, responses, and progress.
• Educate patients on exercise techniques, posture, and home exercise programs to support their recovery journey and ensure safety outside of treatment sessions.
• Foster clear communication with physical therapists, clinic aides, and other colleagues to maintain a smooth patient flow and high-quality care.
• Monitor and assess patient progress regularly, adapting treatment plans as needed, and promptly reporting any changes in the patient's condition to the physician and family.
• Promote patient engagement and motivation throughout the recovery process by cultivating a supportive and encouraging environment.

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience is required. Outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred, though we encourage new graduates with a strong desire to learn to apply.

• Certifications: Current CPR certification is required, or the willingness to obtain certification prior to starting the role.

Preferred Experience
