Job summary

Palm Eye Care in Florida, part of a VSP Vision-affiliated network, seeks a Full-time Optometrist to perform comprehensive eye exams and patient education in a fast-paced, high-demand setting. Expect about 25 patients daily, with walk-ins and some double-bookings handled.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure
• 1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills
• Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

• Perform thorough patient examinations and vision assessments
• Recommend vision-enhancing solutions and educate patients
• Manage walk-ins and double-booked appointments as needed
