Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited program.
• Alaska optometric license or eligibility to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and medical eye care.
• Co-manage surgical patients as needed.
• Prescribe and manage contact lenses and dry eye therapies.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic technology for patient care.

A well-run, private practice in Homer, AK is hiring an Optometrist – No weekends, part-time or full-time schedule available

Join a well-established, community-focused private practice that has been serving the area for more than 30 years. This full-scope practice emphasizes personalized patient care, advanced diagnostic technology, and strong patient relationships. Services include comprehensive eye exams, medical eye care, contact lenses, dry eye management, co-management of surgical patients, and emergency eye care. The practice also features a large optical department with more than 400 frame options and a dedicated support team committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Located on Alaska’s stunning Kenai Peninsula, Homer is known as the “Halibut Fishing Capital of the World” and offers breathtaking views of Kachemak Bay, mountains, glaciers, and abundant wildlife. Overview:

• Mon-Fri only, no weekends
• Part-time or full-time schedule available
• Technicians and scribes provide everything from pretesting and refractions to charting
• EHR: Revolution
• Patient base covers all ages
• Efficient, “well-oiled” practice
• About 24 patients per day

Compensation and benefits:

• Base pay plus performance bonuses, negotiable
• Earn at least $600-800 per day guaranteed
