Job summary

Serenity Spring Senior Living at Green Bay is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time role. The OT will oversee resident rehabilitation, develop effective treatment plans, and supervise assistants in an interdisciplinary team environment.

The position requires active OT licensure (NJ) and a relevant degree. Duties include evaluation, documentation, coordination with the team, and occasional travel to other facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a minimum bachelor's degree in physical or occupational therapy, or a master's in speech-language pathology or equivalent.
• Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist (NJ) or related health care professional.
• Experience in rehabilitation supervision and long-term care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct resident rehabilitation within approved practice standards.
• Evaluate residents and establish effective treatment plans.
• Coordinate supervision of treatment plans with staff from other disciplines.
• Participate in resident screening according to schedules and practices.
• Give feedback to Team Leader on clinical and rehab issues.
• Engage in facility processes and services as directed.
• Manage treatment and non-treatment activities efficiently.
• Complete clinical documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
• Maintain billing records in line with facility and regulatory expectations.
• Assist with marketing efforts as directed.
• Participate in in-service training and may travel to other facilities to provide services.
• Perform other duties as required.

Occupational Therapist POSITION SUMMARY:

A therapist’s overall responsibility is to manage the care of the patient/resident, managing quality of all related outcomes. The therapist participates as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, manages resources to meet the needs of the patient/resident and related customers balancing outcomes and cost effective and efficient treatment.

Supervises clinically all assistants and aides of patients to which the therapist is directing or overseeing the delivery of services according to an established plan of care. Supervision follows all accepted state and federal guidelines for the respective discipline.

Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university with minimally a bachelors degree in physical therapy or occupational therapy, or a masters degree in speech-language pathology and/or equivalent certification accepted by the designated professional accrediting body

1. Prefer-experience/knowledge managing other rehabilitation personnel.
2. Prefer-experience/knowledge in long term care facilities.
3. Prefer-experience/knowledge managing cost and productivity
4. Prefer Outpatient experience/ knowledge.
5. Knowledge in governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings

Actively licensed therapist in New Jersey as an Occupational Therapist or related health care profession
