Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, develop personalized plans, and educate patients and families. The role emphasizes accurate documentation and timely communication with the care team in a busy hospital setting.

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s in Occupational Therapy and OT licensure (or temporary). BLS certification is required, with experience using EMR and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (preferred).
• Licensure as Occupational Therapist (OT) or temporary OT.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards.
• Establishes, implements, and adapts individualized treatment plans, including goal setting, treatment activities, and frequency.
• Documents accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology.
• Identifies the need for patient and caregiver education and utilizes opportunities for teaching, including discharge recommendations.
• Discharges patients when maximum benefit is achieved or according to standards of practice and payer guidelines.
