Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Valley Falls Clinic. This outpatient role involves nursing home visits with a geriatrics focus, travel between Valley Falls and Topeka, and a supportive staff.

Expect EPIC EMR usage and a Monday-to-Friday schedule. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of NP/PA experience and can work autonomously with supervision as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years or more NP or PA experience
• Experience in family medicine or geriatrics preferred
• Ability to work independently with supervision available when needed

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient family medicine care with a geriatrics/long-term care focus
• Perform nursing home visits across Valley Falls and Topeka locations
• Collaborate with supervising physician and support staff
• Manage patient care autonomously with appropriate consults as needed

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus-Family MedicineinTopeka, Kansas, is seeking aFamily Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantto join it's Valley Falls Clinic.

About the Position:

• Outpatient only
• Experienced support staff
• 2 years or more NP or PA experience desired
• EMR: EPIC
• M-F schedule 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
• No weekend requirement
• One night of call (one Saturday a month)

This position is based out of Valley Falls but spends the vast majority of their time in Topeka and surrounding communities, completing nursing home visits for various residents and patients. Although this is a family practice the ideal candidate would have a special interest in geriatrics and long-term care, as most of the work occurs in this type of environment. This is a busy and position, due to the travel and multiple locations. Must work autonomously and independently a large part of the time, directing questions to supervising physician appropriately.
