Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift in Med Surg. The staff nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process and coordinate patient care with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates must hold a Georgia RN license, BLS certification, and have a nursing degree. New graduates are eligible; bachelor’s degree preferred and hospital experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• New graduates eligible.
• Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
• BLS certification required.
• For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum).
• Nursing experience in hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using nursing processes.
• Maintain standards of practice and accountability.
• Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
• Follow organizational policies and procedures.
