Job summary

The Treasure Valley Family YMCA is seeking a dependable, friendly, and service-minded Full-Time Housekeeping Staff member to join our team. This multi-branch position supports cleanliness, safety, and the overall member experience across YMCA facilities and requires travel between branches based on scheduling.

You will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining facilities, operating laundry duties, and helping ensure a welcoming environment for members and staff.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of related experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to travel between YMCA branches and adapt to changing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas to YMCA standards and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, attractive, and safe facilities across branches.
• Clean, stock, and maintain locker rooms and restrooms.
• Replenish cleaning products and supplies as needed.
• Operate washers and dryers and handle regular laundry duties.
• Set up facilities for events and clean up afterward.
• Identify and report maintenance needs and perform minor repairs as directed.
• Contribute to a welcoming environment and build positive member relations.
• Collaborate with staff across multiple YMCA locations.

This is a unique multi-branch position supporting cleanliness, safety, and the overall member experience acrossYMCA facilities. You’ll receive training at all locations and will travel between branches based on operational needs and scheduling.

Schedule & Pay

• Full-time: 40 hours per week
• Pay: $15.00/hour
• Schedule: Shifts and locations vary
• Must be available to work at any of our six YMCA locations and across varying shifts
• This position requires flexibility to travel between branches as needed

What You'll Do

As a Multi-Branch Housekeeping Staff member, you’ll help ensure our facilities are clean, safe, welcoming, and well maintained for members, participants, and staff.

Key responsibilities include:

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas according to YMCA standards, checklists, and required safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, attractive, and safe facilities throughout each assigned branch.
• Clean, stock, and maintain locker rooms and restrooms.
• Replenish cleaning products and other supplies as needed.
• Operate washers and dryers and complete regular laundry duties, including folding and organizing laundry.
• Set up facilities before and clean up after special events.
• Identify and report maintenance or repair needs and complete minor repairs when directed.
• Help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and security of the facility.
• Build positive, intentional relationships with members and create a welcoming environment.
• Work cooperatively with staff across multiple YMCA branches.
