Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to record vital statistics and information such as test results in medical records.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Assist physicians when performing injections and sutures.
• Educate patients on medical conditions as applicable.
• Reinforce physicians' recommendations and instructions to patients.
• Review medical records for completeness of visit related documentation.
• Prepare referrals with notes and forward to Referral department.
• Authorize medication refills and provide prescription information to the pharmacy.
• Address patient's problems/concerns that may arise.
• Comply with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Answer phone calls promptly and professionally.
• Proficient in EMR system such as MDVita2000.
• Perform duties of absent employees when needed.
