Job summary

Complete Health in Rapid City, SD is seeking a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our clinical team. You will support providers, care for patients of all ages, and help ensure every visit is a positive experience.

You will handle patient intake, room preparation, specimen handling, med administration, and patient education in a fast-paced clinic environment. A SD LPN license or MA certification plus CPR is required.

Qualifications

• Current South Dakota LPN license or Medical Assistant certification.
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
• One year experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care with professionalism and compassion.
• Collect and document patient information, including vital signs and health history.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments.
• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies for patient visits.
• Administer medications, perform lab work, and report results promptly.
• Educate patients and families on self-care and health management.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 10-hour days

As a key member of our care team, you will:

• Provide high-quality, age-appropriate patient care with professionalism and compassion
• Collect and document patient information, including vital signs, health history, and chief complaints
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure they’re stocked and ready for each patient visit
• Administer medications, perform lab work, and report critical results promptly
• Educate patients and families on self-care and health management
• Serve as a patient advocate—helping support and guide patients through their care journey
