Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a full-time Meat Clerk to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying needs and exceeding expectations. You will cut and process meat products, maintain cleanliness, stock, unload shipments, and assist in keeping the department efficient.

The role requires strong product knowledge, customer service, and teamwork. You’ll follow food-safety standards, participate in required training, and work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Complete company training including food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Take excellent care of customers by satisfying needs and exceeding expectations in a grocery setting.
• Cut and process meat products to meet quality and yield standards.
• Assist with unloading stock and reloading salvage as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and help in other departments as required.
