Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate required.
• Math endorsement required.
• Experience using common assessments and teaching methods.
• Ability to communicate with students effectively through speaking, reading, and writing.

Responsibilities

• Establishes a classroom environment that fosters student engagement and success by using a variety of effective and appropriate teaching strategies.
• Designs and delivers purposeful, well-structured lesson plans that align with district standards and objectives.
• Establishes high expectations for student achievement, behavior, and participation in activities.
• Monitors and assesses student progress on an ongoing basis and adjusts instruction to meet needs.
• Works with parents to inform progress and encourage involvement.
• Keeps attendance, grades, and documentation as directed by the principal.
