Job summary

McDonald's in Surf City, North Carolina, is hiring a Maintenance Person to help keep the restaurant clean and well‑maintained, both inside and outside. You will support the team with daily maintenance tasks and upkeep of equipment, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for customers.

Starting pay is $16 per hour with benefits including paid vacation, Archways to Opportunity education, medical/dental/vision coverage, and a 401(k) plan. This is a hands-on role within a franchise location.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to follow established cleaning and safety procedures.
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• The Maintenance Person assists in achieving and maintaining outstanding interior and exterior restaurant cleanliness.
• Maintain restaurant equipment and perform routine upkeep.
• Unloading delivery truck 2 times a week.
• Take out and empty trash, change light bulbs, and clean HVAC/exhaust units and roof debris.
• Support outside grounds maintenance and stock rooms.

Requirements:

The Maintenance Person assists management in achieving and maintaining outstanding interior and exterior restaurant cleanliness and maintaining restaurant equipment. As a member of the Maintenance Team, your restaurant will support you with the tools and training needed to succeed.

The Maintenance Person’s responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Filtering oil fryers daily
• Maintaining outside grounds
• Clean equipment, inside and outside windows, stock rooms and restrooms
• Unload delivery truck 2 times a week
• Take out and empty trash compactor
• Change light bulbs
• Clean HVAC/Exhaust units and roof of debris
