Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to assist in implementing the plan of care and provide quality patient care within a large Memphis hospital system. The role supports RNs and participates in patient-focused care in a dynamic health setting.

The candidate will engage in nursing assessment, direct patient care, and collaboration with the health team to ensure high standards and safety in patient handling.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or nursing diploma required.
• Preferred - No prior work experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in TN (and equivalents in MS/AR) required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the nursing assessment by collecting, reporting, and recording objective and subjective data.
• Provides direct care in a safe manner.
• Evaluation of the plan of care on a continuous basis.
• Effectively communicates in writing and orally with patients/families and other health team members.
• Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery in assigned area.
