Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is hiring a Customer Service Associate/Loader in Garner, NC. You will greet customers, answer questions, load merchandise, and keep the store clean, safe, and stocked with products customers need.

This role requires the ability to lift 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and work flexible morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. Prior retail or loader experience is helpful, along with basic computer and mobile device skills.

What You Will Do

All Lowe’s associates deliver quality customer service while maintaining a store that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products customers need. As a Customer Service Associate/Loader, you will:

• Be friendly, professional, and engaging customers to help answer questions.
• Retrieve, load, and replenish merchandise.
• Help customers and staff move merchandise safely.
• Assist customers by loading merchandise into their vehicles.
• Replenish shelves for the next customers.
• Lift and move merchandise safely, ensuring personal safety and that of staff and customers.

Travel Requirements

Regular travel not required; occasional travel may be required for meetings, training or to support neighboring stores.

What We're Looking For

• Hourly, full-time or part-time (generally 39-40 or up to 25 hours per week); more hours may be required based on store needs.
• Available morning, afternoon and evening any day of the week.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; may lift over 25 pounds with or without assistance.

Minimum Qualifications

• 6 months experience using a computer (input, access, modify, output).
• 6 months experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as required by law.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months retail experience.
• 6 months experience as a Loader at any home improvement or hardware retailer.
• 6 months experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store.
• 6 months retail merchandising experience, including zone recovery, stocking, down stocking, facing/fronting product, pricing, maintaining signage, and housekeeping.
• 6 months experience in any industry inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material in or out of vehicles.
