Job summary

A private household in Burlington, Ontario is seeking an experienced Home Child Care Provider to provide full-time care for two children, ages 3 and 7. The provider will work Monday to Friday, daytime, 40 hours per week in a private home.

Responsibilities include supervising the children, preparing meals, planning activities, supporting development, and handling light housekeeping related to the children. English is required; references and a criminal background check are requested.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of childcare or nanny experience.
• English required.
• References and criminal record check required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for the children in the employer's residence and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Organize age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
• Assist with daily routines and personal hygiene.
• Support the children's emotional well-being and social development.
• Perform children's laundry and light housekeeping/cleaning duties related to the children.
• Maintain children's bedrooms, play areas and common areas used by the children.
