Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking full-time Flex Houseparents (couples) who live in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, and supervision for 8–13 students. The role includes supervision, scheduling, devotions, and linking activities to student growth.

The position transitions from rotating duty to a placed houseparent role, with housing included and a comprehensive benefits package, relocation assistance, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to certify to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
