Job summary

Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, a premier skilled nursing facility in Dutchess County, is seeking Full Time Laundry Aides to support daily operations by maintaining an adequate linen supply for residents. Responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, folding, labeling, and distributing laundry; keeping equipment and carts clean; and reporting shortages.

Required: one year laundry experience, a high school diploma, teamwork and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• One-year experience with laundry.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Must be available to work weekends.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently.
• Positive and upbeat attitude.

Responsibilities

• Collects, sorts, washes, dries, folds and distributes all laundry items to residents.
• Labels residents’ personal laundry and linens as directed.
• Cleans dryer filters as necessary.
• Ensures adequate supply of laundry supplies are in stock.
• Notifies supervisor when supplies are low.
• Keeps laundry carts clean and in good working order.
• Properly stores equipment, tools and supplies.
• Keeps a log of missing items and returns them when found.
• Reports any mechanical or equipment needs to supervisor.
• Reports any questionable resident conditions to supervisor.
