This is a remote position, allowing you to engage with clients comfortably from your own home or dedicated workspace. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals from various disciplines, including psychiatrists and nursing staff, to provide integrated care for your clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' mood disorder symptoms, understanding their intensity, frequency, and duration to inform treatment approaches.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans tailored to meet each client's unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
• Utilize evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients in managing their mental health effectively.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote a deeper understanding and greater involvement in their care.
• Track client progress diligently and adjust treatment plans as necessary, based on ongoing evaluations and performance metrics.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated, holistic care that addresses both physical and mental health needs.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorders to enhance therapeutic strategies and improve client outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, adhering strictly to legal and ethical guidelines to protect client privacy.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development sessions to foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Advocate for clients both within the healthcare system and the community at large to reduce stigma related to mental health issues and improve access to services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on individuals experiencing mood disorders, which may include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and related conditions. You will work with diverse populations, including adults, adolescents, and potentially their families, emphasizing a therapeutic relationship built on trust and empathy.

Qualifications

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential.
