Job summary

New Season in Georgia is seeking an LPN to join our clinic team under the supervision of the Medical Director or RN and Program Director. You will engage directly with patients and provide compassionate care during difficult times, while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Georgia or multistate.
• Understanding of opiate addiction and medical terminology.
• Minimum 1 year direct patient contact; healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supply and administer medication per physician order and record in medical record.
• Conduct daily sight and count inventory of medication supply.
• Maintain absolute accuracy in daily medication accounting.
• Collect fees and perform daily cash reconciliation when cashier is absent.
• Ensure disposal of medical waste per proper protocol.
• Observe patient demeanor prior to dosing.
• Contact other centers to verify dosages as needed.
• Administer labs/tests including vital signs and TB tests when required.
• Schedule and screen patients to be seen by the Medical Director.
• Assist the Medical Director in data collection for history and physical.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient medical paperwork.
• Participate in CARF preparation and state audit processes.
• Interface with the public and patients by answering phones and greeting visitors.

Essential Functions:

• Supply and administer medication pursuant to physician order and record dosage administered in the medical record.

• Administer appropriate lab tests as required including patient vital signs, TB tests when required, and collects data for review by the Medical Director or RN.

• Schedule and screen patients to be seen by the Medical Director.

• Assist the Medical Director in collecting data for the history and physical as required.

• Maintain absolute control, tracking, and confidentiality of all patient medical paperwork.

• Actively participate in CARF preparation and state audit process.

• Interface with the public and patients by answering phones, greeting visitors, and monitoring patient activities while on center premises.

Essential Qualifications:

• Education/Licensure/Certification: Active LPN license in the state of Georgia or multi-state. If you have a Pharmacy Tech certification, that is preferred but not required.

• Required Knowledge: Understanding of opiate addiction, medical terminology, general nursing knowledge, and techniques. Basic mathematics skills. Must be computer literate and have basic knowledge of all Microsoft products including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must have basic typing skills.

• Experience Required: Minimum of 1-year direct patient contact. Prior experience in the clinical environment is helpful.
