Job summary

Canteen North America is seeking a skilled CHEF to direct kitchen operations at Greer, SC. You will oversee food production, supervise staff, and ensure quality and sanitation standards in a fast-paced setting.

We offer full-time schedules, weekends/evenings as needed, and benefits including paid vacations and holidays. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, with opportunities for growth within the Canteen network.

Qualifications

• Previous catering, batch cooking, and supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates kitchen staff and food preparation to meet standards.
• Interviews, schedules, trains, and counsels hourly kitchen associates; handles reviews and discipline.
• Prepares high-quality food items per recipes to meet production and service schedules.
• Ensures proper presentation, quality, portion control, and serving temperatures.
• Tracks food use, waste and consumption for inventory planning and requisition/purchase.
• Receives and inspects product and supplies for quality and quantity for inventory control.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and workstation; keeps area clean.
• Helps select and develop recipes and menus.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
