Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove stained/holes.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident items as needed.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary processes for laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use laundry equipment safely.
• Report equipment issues to the Administrator.
• Adhere to dignity, privacy, independence, and home-like environment for residents.
• Carry linens and supplies using wheeled carts.
• Disinfect equipment and supplies.
• Clean rooms, halls, lobbies, and restrooms to health standards.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport waste to disposal areas.
• Observe precautions to protect resident property and report damage.
• Replenish supplies and keep areas stocked.
• Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstery using vacuums and shampooers.
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
• Keep storage areas and carts tidy.
• W ash windows, walls, woodwork; perform waxing/polishing as needed.
• Relate positively with residents and families.
