Job summary

Elderwood at North Creek is seeking a full-time Laundry Aide to keep our facility clean, comfortable, and welcoming for residents. The role involves washing, folding, and distributing linens and personal clothing, with a focus on infection control and resident privacy.

Responsibilities include sorting, labeling, delivering items, and assisting with new laundry methods. Competitive pay, benefits, tuition reimbursement, and scheduling flexibility are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 yrs. age required, HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Position-related experience preferred but not required.
• An interest in the laundry operation necessary.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions required.
• Respect for residents' privacy and rights; respectful and dignified treatment of residents required.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English at intermediate level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Consistently demonstrates Elderwood iCARE Values.
• Sorts soiled linen or clothes by type, soiling, fabric and color.
• Labels residents’ clothing and records possessions.
• Assists in locating missing articles of clothing.
• Loads washing machines and selects wash cycles with soaps and bleaches.
• Transfers washed linen to dryers and starts machines.
• Sorts dry linen, folds, and prepares for delivery to designated areas.
• Prepares for delivery and distributes personal garments of residents.
• Keeps laundry area clean and practices infection control.
• Stores hazardous substances properly and assists with new products or methods.
