Job summary

Community Rehabilitation Hospitality West invites an Occupational Therapist to join our team in a full-time capacity. You will work within an interdisciplinary rehab program, delivering OT services to adult and geriatric patients in a hospital setting.

Applicants should hold an OT license in the state, have a Master’s in Occupational Therapy, and demonstrate strong communication with patients and staff. CPR/BLS certification is required, and prior OT experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Current licensure as an OT in the state where the hospital is located.
• Previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred, but not required.
• Effective oral and written English communication skills; additional languages preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for patient care supervised by a registered OT; orients staff and students as needed.
• Assess patients' needs and initiate OT interventions; collaborate with the care team to maintain standards.
• Observe and evaluate treatment progress; recommend changes to the physician as needed.
• Perform assessments and reassessments; ensure timely QI scoring for adult and geriatric rehab patients.
• Assess pain affecting function and intervene to reduce pain; coordinate physician contact when needed.
