Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking an Infusion Nurse to join our Springfield, VA clinic and deliver high-quality infusion therapy with autonomy and compassion.

The ideal candidate will have Virginia RN licensure, experience with outpatient infusion, the ability to insert 5+ peripheral IVs per shift, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment with a 3:1 patient-to-clinician ratio.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required.
• Experience in outpatient infusion therapy.
• Able to insert 5+ peripheral IVs per shift.
• ACLS & PALS certification preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification.
• Experience with EHR systems.
• Ability to work 1–2 Saturdays per month.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document the health status of the patient.
• Deliver infusions or injections per protocols and guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies.
• Communicate with referring providers regarding patient status and plan of care.
• Provide onsite supervision for all patients.

We’re looking for an Infusion Nurse who is passionate about raising the bar in infusion therapy care.

The Infusion Nurse will contribute to the company’s growth by providing direct patient care at our clinic in Springfield, VA. The Infusion Nurse will make sure our patients receive the highest level of care possible in infusion therapy. The ideal candidate has experience working autonomously, and experience starting IVs and working with biologic drugs. The Infusion Nurse role is perfect for those wishing to remain at the forefront of healthcare innovation, while having predictable hours, autonomy, and a manageable workload (always a 3:1 patient to clinician ratio).

In This Role, You Will

• Assess and document the health status of the patient
• Deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and organization guidelines
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers, such as order clarification, patient status, and plan of care
• Provide onsite supervision for all patients

Here’s What We’re Looking For

• Current RN licensure in Virginia, and open to getting licensure in another state
• Experience in outpatient infusion therapy, working in a clinical setting, seeing multiple patients at one time
• Comfortable working autonomously, inserting 5+ peripheral IVs per shift
• ACLS & PALS Certification (preferred)
• Current BLS CPR certification
• Excellent IV skills (infusion therapy experience a plus)
• Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Ability to work 1 to 2 Saturday's a month
