Job summary

BrightStar Care of Anchorage is seeking an experienced Full-Time Caregiver to join our float team, providing coverage for clients across Anchorage, Eagle River, and the Mat-Su Valley.

Starting pay ranges from $20 to $25 per hour depending on experience, with 32-40 hours weekly and weekend availability required. CNAs are preferred but not required; mileage reimbursement, medical benefits, weekly pay, and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional caregiving experience OR current CNA certification.
• Experience providing personal care for bed-bound or mobility-dependent clients.
• Ability to assist with bathing, toileting, transfers, and activities of daily living.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel between client homes with mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other personal care.
• Provide hands-on care for bed-bound or mobility-dependent clients.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, walking, and mobility.
• Support skin care and prevent skin breakdown.
• Meal preparation and feeding assistance.
• Medication reminders and assistance as permitted.
• Light housekeeping and linen changes.
• Transport to appointments and activities.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition.
• Document care provided accurately.
