Job summary

The Navy Inn Fallon, NV, operated by the Navy Exchange Service Command, is seeking a Full-time Housekeeping Attendant to clean guest rooms, restock amenities, and maintain hallways and common areas for military guests and their families.

No prior experience is required; a High School diploma is preferred. The position offers benefits from DAY ONE, including Medical/Vision & Dental, 401(k) & Pension, Life Insurance, and paid leave, with a 35+ hour schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hospitality or a similar setting is a plus but not required!
• Physical requirements: moderate physical effort, moving furniture, use of hand or lightweight powered cleaning equipment and the ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Preferred experience performing the following: general housekeeping duties, to include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, washing, moving items, polishing, cleaning, removal of debris/trash, transporting clean and dirty linen towels, etc.
• No experience required
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms and other assigned areas. This includes but is not limited to cleaning, making beds, inspecting furniture/equipment for wear, restock room amenities, vacuuming of hallways, corridors or other common areas etc.
• Communicate status of cleaned rooms and spaces to supervisor through completion of daily assignments or property management systems in the housekeeping department.
• Responsible for linen for their assigned rooms.
• Operate cleaning equipment, inspect equipment, completes some maintenance requests for broken, defective or items in need of replacement.
• Maintain cleanliness, inventory and organization of assigned carts.
