Job summary

Gordon Health & Rehab in Georgia is seeking a dedicated full-time housekeeper to maintain clean, safe patient areas and common spaces. You will follow center procedures, use appropriate cleaning agents, and work with a supportive team to uphold our mission of compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic cleaning and safety knowledge required.
• Ability to read and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, damp mop, and wet mop tile floors.
• Report to supervisor any carpeted areas needing cleaning or spot removal.
• Vacuum carpeted rooms as applicable.
• Dust/damp clean surfaces in patient rooms (furniture, bed frames, windowsills, etc.).
• Empty trash cans, clean exterior and interior, and replace liners.
• Clean bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets following procedures.
• Clean glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures and windows.
• Move furniture to clean behind/underneath according to procedures.
• Turn bed mattresses after cleaning.
• Clean dining area after meals; wipe tables, sweep, mop.
• Change soiled privacy curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed.
• Remove and rehang curtains and draperies for outside windows with a ladder.
• Sweep outside porches and walkways; pick up trash.
• Follow cleaning schedules and infection control standards.
• Use isolation techniques as needed.
• Safeguard chemicals and store properly per MSDS.
