Job summary

Brownsboro Park Retirement Community is seeking a full-time housekeeper to keep resident areas clean, sanitary and comfortable. You will operate vacuums and floor machines, damp mop floors, and dispose of trash daily to maintain a safe living environment.

You must follow safety procedures, handle cleaning solvents properly, report repairs to the front desk, and work with staff to ensure privacy and dignity for residents. Benefits include insurance, PTO and 401k matching.

Responsibilities

• Operates cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor cleaners, buffers.
• Maintains sanitary conditions and prevents infection spread.
• Cleans damp areas and handles waste as required.
• Disposes of trash and disposable materials daily.
• Handles cleaning solvents and follows OSHA/EPA regulations.
• Plans work schedule for major tasks.
• Damp dusts furniture and fixtures.
• Empties trash containers daily.
• Wets mop floors in residents' rooms and corridors daily.
• Cleans basins, mirrors, toilets, tubs and showers daily.
• Checks vacant rooms daily and reports repairs.
• Reports emergencies to supervisor.
• Washes windows as scheduled.
• Cleans floors using specified products and machinery.
• Monitors area for spills and safety hazards.
• Follows safe chemical handling procedures.
• Uses safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
