Job summary

Parkview Senior Living is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to perform day-to-day housekeeping duties under the direction of the Environmental Services Director. This role ensures the facility remains clean, safe, and comfortable in accordance with applicable regulations.

The candidate should be able to work independently, handle weekend rotations and holidays, and follow infection control practices. English literacy and the ability to complete a background check are required to serve residents with

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently up to 100% of the time.
• Must be able to work weekend rotation and holidays.
• Must understand and practice Standard Precautions.
• The Housekeeping Aide must read, write and speak English and pass a state background check.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain effective communication with inter-departmental personnel to meet residents' needs.
• Understand and perform environmental care functions.
• Maintain a clean environment for residents and follow infection control practices.
• Recognize safety responsibilities and report hazards or injuries per policy.
• Use safe body mechanics when lifting and moving objects.
• Coordinate routine isolation procedures with nursing services.
• Keep supervisor informed of supply needs and manage cleanliness of areas and equipment.
