Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Port Huron, MI is seeking a full-time housekeeping team member to maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors. Shifts run 7am to 3:30pm, with weekends required; you will clean resident rooms, bathrooms, lounges, offices, nurse's stations and common areas.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the use of cleaning chemicals per safety guidelines; prior customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move equipment.

Responsibilities

• Keeps carts, equipment, and area cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.
• Cleans all bathrooms (resident and public) stools and bowls, (inside and out), daily.
• Washes all bathrooms walls, doors and mirrors.
• Removes trash from resident rooms, lounge areas, offices, conference rooms.
• Follows written and oral instructions on proper chemical use.
