Job summary

Lap of Love is seeking an In-Home, Associate Veterinarian in Omaha, NE to join our mobile veterinary team. You will provide hospice and euthanasia care in clients' homes, delivering compassionate medical service with a focus on work-life balance.

The role emphasizes flexibility with 2–5 day-per-week options, independent practice with strong mentorship, and a supportive onboarding program designed to maintain professional fulfillment and personal well-being.

Qualifications

• DVM required and licensed to practice in the U.S.
• Weekend availability may be required for some shifts.
• Ability to assist with lifting and handling animals as needed.
• Strong communication with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Deliver compassionate veterinary medical care in clients' homes.
• Collaborate with Lap of Love mentors and support staff to ensure high-quality service.

*Veterinarian Salary Range: 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day full-time opportunities are available in the Omaha, NE area. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $85,000 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $100,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3-Day Full-Time and Part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.
