Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an In-Home Associate Veterinarian to serve San Jose, CA and surrounding communities. You will provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care in clients' homes, honoring the bond between pets and families while practicing medicine with purpose.

You'll join a network of veterinarians who value work‑life balance, ongoing mentorship, and a supportive culture. Opportunities include 2‑5 day schedules with base compensation ranging from $117,500 for 4‑day

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree or equivalent required.
• U.S. driver's license required.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted and 100 lbs with assistance.
• Background and motor vehicle record check will be conducted.

Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4‑day positions starting at $117,500 and 5‑day positions offering a base salary of $140,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3‑Day Full‑Time and Part‑time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post‑hire and before their associated start date
