7500 Methodist Medical Group is hiring for a physician position in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role involves providing and managing comprehensive inpatient care, performing examinations, and leading medical education programs.
A Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) is required, with experience preferred but not mandatory. Applicants must be licensed in Tennessee and hold relevant board certifications where applicable.
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment.
Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students.
Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions and progress.
Ability to use electronic health records, the Methodist One Chart system, and CPOE.
Ability to communicate to patients and families, students and residents, and members of the healthcare team.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to understand and analyze clinical and research data.
Ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks and projects.
Supervises residents, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, students from multiple disciplines.
The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. The physical requirements of this position are: medium work – exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently.
Required close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform activities such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact.
Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.
Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
