Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center in Clinton, IA is seeking an Environmental Service Worker to maintain a clean, infection-controlled environment across patient rooms, units, lounges, and offices. The role includes moving items safely, assisting with patient care as needed, and following unit-specific cleaning procedures.

Schedule: Full time, rotating shifts, every other weekend, 40 hours/week. Qualifications include: housekeeping experience preferred, ability to read/write and perform basic math

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must read, write and perform basic math to measure cleaning chemicals and prepare solutions.
• Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean client rooms, nursing units, lounges, lavatories, bathrooms, offices and all other areas as assigned.
• Handle patients' valuables or system property with care during cleaning.
• Assist with patient care as needed and perform unit-specific cleaning procedures.
