Job summary

Cura Hospitality is hiring a Full-Time Healthcare Cook for our St. Gertrude's Health Rehab in Shakopee, MN. You will prepare meals tailored to healthcare dietary guidelines, with foods that may be pureed or ground as required, following specific dietary restrictions.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of senior-care or healthcare kitchen experience, and the ability to obtain a Certified Food Protection Manager certificate within 30 days of hire. Morning to weekend shifts included.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of culinary experience in a high-volume setting with scratch cooking.
• Healthcare cooking experience in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care.
• Knowledge of proper culinary methods and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use various kitchen equipment and identify foods.
• Customer service experience required.
• Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced Full-Time Healthcare Cook to work with a motivated and energetic kitchen staff in our Shakopee, MN location. As a Full-Time Healthcare Cook with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, efficient environment and cook delicious meals. *You will be cooking specifically for healthcare, so there are specific menu's that must be followed. Some foods will also need to be pureed and ground, and made to specific dietary restrictions. This position will be scheduled to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. Prefer to have someone with over 1 year experience working with seniors or in a healthcare environment and to be able to obtain their Certified Food Protection Manager Certificate with 1 month of hiring.*

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• At least one years’ prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking.
• Previous healthcare cooking experience in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care.
• Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools as well as identify and differentiate food items.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Flexibility.

Nice-to-haves:

• CFPM / ServSafe certification (State Requirement)
• If you do not have the certification, we will assist *(Must obtain within 30 days of hire.)*
