Job summary

Blueprints is seeking a Regular Full Time Head Start Teacher responsible for supervising children and managing the classroom. The role emphasizes promoting exploration, creativity, and development through thoughtful indoor and outdoor environments based on how children learn and develop.

The position requires a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, with ECE credits and preschool teaching experience, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth. Typical workweek is Mon–Fri.

Qualifications

Bachelor or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with ECE credits and two years’ preschool teaching experience.
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education with 2 years’ preschool teaching experience.
Ability to implement early learning standards and guidelines in daily practice.

Responsibilities

Supervise children and manage the classroom on a daily basis.
Design indoor and outdoor environments to support exploration, creativity, and development.
Promote active learning and student progress with families and staff.
Attend required meetings and training, including potential out-of-town travel.
Record observations and progress notes to inform goals and planning.
Collaborate with families and specialists to support each child’s needs.
