Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out
  • Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
  • Interact proactively with customers to recommend products and services.
  • Greet, assist, and engage with customers at multiple registers.
  • Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure transactions are completed accurately.
  • Thank customers and invite them back to shop at Lowe’s.
Customer Service
  • Provide excellent customer service in accordance with Lowe's policies and procedures.
  • Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
  • Respond promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through store areas and projects when needed.
  • Show sincere appreciation to customers.
  • Inform customers about stock, special orders, features, warranties, and benefits of Lowe’s programs.
  • Train and coach associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
  • Use a cash register for sales, returns, and refunds following company guidelines.
  • Provide change to CSA Front End associates.
  • Support and supervise CSA Front End Team.
  • Remove security tags, verify product info, and bag merchandise.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
  • Open additional registers as needed to ensure coverage.
  • Assist in line vesting to expedite checkout.
In-stock
  • Prepare register area at shift start/end, check functionality, and stock supplies.
  • Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
  • Enter and process customer orders, print tickets, verify receipts, and sign loading tickets.
  • Manage online orders and returns appropriately.
  • Verify prices and look up product info for price matching.
  • Record store use items.
Clean and Safe Stores
  • Monitor cash amounts and obtain safety bags.
  • Monitor store entrances/exits for security, assist with alarms.
  • Detect shoplifting and communicate risks to management/security.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
  • Ensure safety standards are met, including equipment operation and hazard prevention.
General
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Less than 1 year experience with computers and retail technology.
  • 1-2 years retail cashier experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Preferences:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in product sales, credit, warranties, and customer needs assessment.
  • Experience as a head cashier and working in Lowe’s.
  • Supervisory experience including delegation, evaluation, training, and coaching.
  • Experience in shoplifting detection.
