Job summary

C.A. Fortune is a national consumer-centric integrated commerce agency seeking a Grocery Merchandiser for the San Pablo, CA area. The role is 32 hours per week across 4 days, with an hourly pay of $22. You will conduct merchandising, pre-sell activities, and reporting using mobile apps, traveling between stores as needed.

You must lift up to 50 pounds, bend and stoop frequently, and communicate effectively with store teams. Bilingual abilities are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Gain and maintain product distribution by building relationships with store teams.
• Retail tasks include ordering products and stocking shelves from new orders.
• Conduct audits in area grocery stores.
• Travel between store locations within the designated territory.
• Verify products are accurately represented on store shelves.
• Maintain a safe working environment and professional appearance.
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift regularly; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work with minimal supervision and follow guidelines.
• Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.

Overview of the Role

• The Grocery Merchandiser will properly manage their assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, and tasks. They will have the ability to take pictures and complete reporting requirements with the technology provided. This position will require merchandising, and the ability to repeatedly bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Location: San Pablo, CA (within a 25-55 mile radius)
• This position is full time, 32 hours a week/ 4 days a week
• Compensation: $22 hourly
• You will be responsible for pre - selling, merchandising, gaining/maintaining distribution within a variety of accounts.
• Ensure our clients' products are well stocked and order if product is not in stock or low.
• This position requires consistent use of mobile apps for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication.
• This position requires you to switch between tasks such as stocking, reporting, and communicating with store teams throughout the day
• You must be able to lift, bend/stoop for extended periods of time.
• This is a position where you work independently, follow directions, and have excellent communication skills.

What You’ll Do at C.A. Fortune

• Gain and maintain product distribution by establishing strong relationships with store teams.
• Retail work will entail (but not limited to) ordering products, working product to shelves from new orders, etc.
• Conduct audits in area grocery stores
• Travel to and between store locations within the designated territory.
• Verify that our clients' products are accurately represented on store shelves
• Maintain a safe working environment while working in the stores
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code and attendance guidelines.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift regularly throughout the day.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, retail environment with minimal supervision.
• Comply with any additional guidelines established by the Store Team
• Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.
