Job summary

C.A. Fortune is hiring a Grocery Merchandiser for Palatine/Des Plaines, IL. The role involves visits, reporting via mobile apps, and maintaining product distribution across assigned accounts. You’ll lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Location is in-office at Palatine/Des Plaines with full-time hours; bilinguals preferred. Compensation is $20 hourly with benefits including 401k, PTO, medical, dental, and vision.

Responsibilities

• Gain and maintain product distribution by establishing strong relationships with store teams.
• Retail tasks include ordering products and shelving from new orders.
• Conduct audits in area grocery stores.
• Travel to and between store locations within the designated territory.
• Verify products are accurately represented on store shelves.
• Maintain a safe working environment in stores.
• Adhere to dress code and attendance guidelines while presenting professionally.
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift regularly up to 50 pounds.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins.

Overview of the Role

• The Grocery Merchandiser will properly manage their assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, and tasks. They will have the ability to take pictures and complete reporting requirements with the technology provided. This position will require merchandising, and the ability to repeatedly bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Location: Palatine/ Des Plaines, IL (within a 25-55 mile radius)
• This position is full time, 40 hours a week/ 5 days a week
• Compensation: $20 hourly
• You will be responsible for pre - selling, merchandising, gaining/maintaining distribution within a variety of accounts.
• Ensure our clients' products are well stocked and order if product is not in stock or low.
• This position requires consistent use of mobile apps for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication.
• This position requires you to switch between tasks such as stocking, reporting, and communicating with store teams throughout the day
• You must be able to lift, bend/stoop for extended periods of time.
• This is a position where you work independently, follow directions, and have excellent communication skills.
• Bilingual preferred but not required

What You’ll Do at C.A. Fortune

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, retail environment with minimal supervision.
• Comply with any additional guidelines established by the Store Team
• Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.
